Production Supervisor

Location: Orange, MA
Pay: $24.00–$29.00 per hour + Shift differential pay
Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our converting operations. You'll be responsible for directing shift activities, managing staffing, achieving production goals, maintaining quality standards, and creating a safe and accountable work environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and direct shift employees to meet daily production goals and operational requirements.
• Oversee converting operations and coordinate support across production, quality, maintenance, and other departments.
• Plan staffing and assign employees based on production schedules and business needs.
• Lead shift changeover communications to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
• Coordinate shift setup, including staffing, schedules, materials, and equipment readiness.
• Monitor production performance, capacity, quality, and overall shift efficiency.
• Identify, document, and communicate quality issues and work with management to address them quickly.
• Support Group Leaders in resolving staffing, production, and quality concerns.
• Perform order setups and first-piece quality inspections when needed.
• Track, record, and report daily production metrics.
• Review and approve employee timecards accurately and on time.
• Monitor attendance and address issues according to company policies.
• Identify training needs and support employee development and skills training.
• Build accountability through coaching, communication, and leading by example.
• Work with Plant Management and Human Resources to address employee relations concerns.
• Participate in the Safety Committee and lead regular safety meetings and briefings.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across the shift.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Help secure the facility and support other operational needs during the assigned shift.
• Support continuous improvement and other projects as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Group Leader, or Production Leader in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience supervising employees and managing day-to-day production activities.
• Knowledge of employee policies, performance management, and progressive discipline processes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate instructions clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Intermediate computer skills, including email, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safety compliance.
• Ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, quality, HR, and management teams.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and hoisting certifications.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership position. The role requires regularly moving throughout the production facility, standing, walking, climbing stairs, using a computer and telephone, and communicating with employees and other departments.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
• Climb stairs and access different areas of the facility.
• Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Safely work around operating machinery and production equipment.
• Drive a vehicle as required.
