Crepe Operator

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st shift 7:00am - 3:00pm

We're looking for a dependable and safety-focused Crepe Operator to join our Converting Department in Gardner, MA. You'll operate and monitor crepe machines that transform tissue paper into crepe paper used in downstream converting processes.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working independently as part of a production team.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate crepe machines according to production specifications.
- Load and unload tissue paper rolls safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance and complete routine equipment checks throughout the shift.
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain safe and efficient production.
- Transport finished crepe rolls to converting lines.
- Inspect and maintain roll carts to ensure they are safe and operating properly.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
- Identify and report safety, quality, equipment, or production concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and operating requirements.
- Identify and address potential risks related to safety, product quality, and production.
- Support other production activities and team needs as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating industrial or converting machinery preferred.
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The role requires standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and working on elevated platforms and catwalks throughout the shift.
The position requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift, including 8+ hour shifts.
- Climb stairs and safely work on elevated platforms and catwalks.
- Push and maneuver roll carts weighing approximately 50–500 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Safely work around operating machinery and production equipment.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
